The DSANA Dairy Sheep Symposium is the major annual event of the dairy sheep industry in North America. For 24 years dairy sheep producers from Canada, Mexico, Europe, Central & South America, New Zealand and the United States have attended the Symposium.
As a small but growing industry, the symposium provides a critical time for producers to meet and help guide the dairy sheep industry for the years to come, to learn the latest in dairy research, and to learn from experts in the field and from each other.
The 2018 Symposium will be held in Kansas City, MO. On Thursday and Friday we will have presentations on dairy sheep reproduction, nutrition, and economics. Thursday evening we will have a wine-and-cheese reception featuring our members' sheeps-milk cheeses; Friday evening we will hold our banquet. Saturday we will tour two sheep dairies. On Sunday there will be an optional cheese-making workshop led by one of our dairy-sheep members.
